I'm Sam Fischer, a graphic designer based in Boise, Idaho.
I've been making things with my hands for as long as I can remember, and that pull toward creating eventually led me to a BFA in graphic design in Bozeman, Montana. My career later brought me to Boise in 2019, where I've spent the years since building brands and campaigns for clients ranging from major healthcare systems to state departments to city programs that help build the community that I've come to call home.
What I care most about is finding the right creative approach for each project, rather than defaulting to one style. That's meant hand-drawing a logo and pattern system for a City of Boise sustainability program, developing an illustration style for a state transportation department that grew far beyond its original brief, and leading installation projects from concept through vendor production for a healthcare system's community sponsorships. In each case, I set out to build something that feels considered and true to the client, not just polished.
I'm drawn to projects where I can push my process somewhere new, and I care as much about the people I work with as the work itself. I want to do good work, help the people around me do their best work too, and genuinely enjoy the process along the way.
