City of Boise America 250
Art Direction & Design
I designed a temporary visual identity for the City of Boise's celebration of America's 250th anniversary for the year 2026. The main challenge was avoiding the obvious clichés of the flag and eagle while still being unmistakably American.
The logo became the foundation for a full campaign, extending into print and digital ads, event signage, and branded swag including lanyards and bandanas. Beyond the core brand, the system was built to expand to accommodate the various other city departments as they hosted their own events, each needing distinct flyers and ads that still read as part of one cohesive citywide brand.
The result was an identity system that was consistent enough to unify a year of programming across multiple departments, but flexible enough to support dozens of unique applications.
